庫班說：“我得這么說，過去這周對我來說很艱難。”

前獨行俠球員帕森斯曾發短信給庫班表示自己對這筆交易感到困惑，庫班對此表示：“我也一樣。”

此外庫班還比喻并打趣道：“如果你離開微軟后，發現鮑爾默將Windows 11系統，這一新款的熱門操作系統，賣了換成Windows 10，一款經典但更老的操作系統。你會怎么想？”

庫班此前賣掉了獨行俠大部分股份，已經失去對球隊的最終決策權。
